Anne Norton MA Vet MB MRCVS
Director and Veterinary Surgeon
I graduated as a Veterinary Surgeon from Cambridge Vet School in 1995 and worked in mixed practice in Hampshire and the Cotswolds before moving to North Yorkshire in 2000. Since then, I have focused soley on small animals and enjoy the challenges and variety that brings.
Outside of work, I am a keen runner, play the violin and love Pilates!
Since we opened the practice in 2021, I have loved building relationships with all of our clients and their pets and becoming part of the community.
Isabella de Berardinis DVM MRCVS
Director and Veterinary Surgeon
Hi! I am Isabella and I am Italian, from Rome.
I graduated from the University of Perugia in 2006 and since then I have been travelling around the world working in different countries, from the UK to Jordan and Syria. The first part of my professional career has been manly focused on equine stud work. I have then finally moved to North Yorkshire with my family in 2017, and since then I have mainly focused on small animals.
I have keen interest in dog and cat medicine and I always strive to treat animals to gold standard. At the same time I feel that one of the most important qualities in a vet is listening and being sympathetic to people and animals, so I always treat pets as if they were my own.
When not at work I love cooking (….of course, I am Italian!) and walking with my husband Federico and my daughter Alice in the beautiful Yorkshire countryside .
I have two very naughty cats called Nacho Cheese and Taco Beans!

In 2019 I established a new practice in Wetherby – Sandbeck Vets with old friends.
In March 2021 we opened Thirsk Veterinary Centre alongside Anne and Isabella and it has been great to re establish independent in Thirsk.
I gained a GP certificate in small animal practice in 2007 and I’m currently studying towards an extra qualification in Ophthamology.
